初次见面 Greetings and the First Cancer Visit
Welcome a patient and family to the cancer center in Mandarin: who you are, who they are, an interpreter and what happens today.
By the end of this module you can…
- Greet every patient and family member with respectful Mandarin, and call them from the waiting room.
- Introduce yourself as the cancer nurse, and confirm the patient’s name and date of birth.
- Ask who came with the patient, who they want in the room, and offer a professional Mandarin medical interpreter.
- Ask for records, scans and medicines, and explain what happens at today’s visit.
- Invite questions in the patient’s own words, book the next visit and close warmly.
