By the end of this module you can…
- Explain that a treatment will take several visits, and say how many.
- Describe taking an impression or a scan, and fitting a temporary crown.
- Tell a patient what to expect between appointments and what to avoid.
- Give extraction aftercare, including stitches and when they come out.

- 我先把牙齿磨小一点，然后取模。Wǒ xiān bǎ yá chǐ mó xiǎo yì diǎn, rán hòu qǔ mó.First I’ll shape the tooth, then take an impression.
- 今天我们给您扫描。Jīn tiān wǒ men gěi nín sǎo miáo.We’ll scan your teeth today.
- 下次之前，您先戴临时牙冠。Xià cì zhī qián, nín xiān dài lín shí yá guān.You’ll wear a temporary crown until next time.
- 牙冠两周后做好。Yá guān liǎng zhōu hòu zuò hǎo.The crown will be ready in two weeks.
- 两周以后，您再来复诊。Liǎng zhōu yǐ hòu, nín zài lái fù zhěn.Come back for a follow-up in two weeks.
- 请咬住纱布半个小时。Qǐng yǎo zhù shā bù bàn ge xiǎo shí.Bite on the gauze for half an hour.
- 今天缝了两针，一周后拆线。Jīn tiān féng le liǎng zhēn, yì zhōu hòu chāi xiàn.I’ve put in two stitches; they come out in a week.
- 今天别漱口，伤口需要愈合。Jīn tiān bié shù kǒu, shāng kǒu xū yào yù hé.Don’t rinse today; the wound needs to heal.
- 恢复以后，我们可以做种植牙。Huī fù yǐ hòu, wǒ men kě yǐ zuò zhòng zhí yá.Once it’s healed, we can do an implant.
