初次见面 Greetings and the First Visit
Welcome a new patient in Mandarin: introduce yourself, confirm who they are, explain today’s visit and ask before you touch.

- Greet every patient with respectful Mandarin, and call them from the waiting room.
- Introduce yourself as the physical therapist, and say what happens today.
- Confirm the patient’s name and date of birth, and what brings them in.

- 物理治疗主要是通过运动，帮您恢复功能。Wù lǐ zhì liáo zhǔ yào shì tōng guò yùn dòng, bāng nín huī fù gōng néng.PT mostly uses exercise to help you get back what you can do.
- 我需要摸一下您的膝盖，可以吗？Wǒ xū yào mō yí xià nín de xī gài, kě yǐ ma?I need to touch your knee. Is that OK?
- 哪里不舒服，随时说，我们马上停。Nǎ lǐ bù shū fu, suí shí shuō, wǒ men mǎ shàng tíng.If anything is uncomfortable, say so any time and we’ll stop right away.
- 下次请穿宽松的衣服和运动鞋。Xià cì qǐng chuān kuān sōng de yī fu hé yùn dòng xié.Next time, please wear loose clothes and sneakers.
