打招呼 Greetings and the Visit Agenda
Open any visit in Mandarin: greet the patient, say who you are, confirm who they are, and set the agenda together, all in the first two minutes.
By the end of this module you can…
- Greet every patient with respectful Mandarin, and introduce yourself as the doctor.
- Confirm who you’re seeing, and ask how they’d like to be addressed.
- Ask what brings them in, and “anything else?” before you start.
- Agree with the patient on what to look at first when there are several problems.
- Bring in family and interpreters the right way, and close the visit warmly.
