检查前准备 Getting Ready for the Scan

By the end of this module you can…

• Explain fasting before an abdominal scan, and check it was done.
• Coach a patient to fill their bladder, and to wait.
• Ask the patient to change, and keep them covered except where you scan.
• Ask permission to start, and offer a chaperone.
• Handle a patient who isn’t ready: a breakfast eaten, an empty bladder, an urgent trip to the restroom.

1. 您最后一次吃东西是几点？Nín zuì hòu yí cì chī dōng xi shì jǐ diǎn?What time did you last eat?
2. 检查前一般要空腹六到八个小时，具体看您的检查须知。Jiǎn chá qián yì bān yào kōng fù liù dào bā ge xiǎo shí, jù tǐ kàn nín de jiǎn chá xū zhī.Usually nothing to eat for six to eight hours before the scan. Follow your instructions sheet.
3. 检查前一个小时左右，请喝四到六杯水，具体看您的检查须知。Jiǎn chá qián yí ge xiǎo shí zuǒ yòu, qǐng hē sì dào liù bēi shuǐ, jù tǐ kàn nín de jiǎn chá xū zhī.About an hour before the scan, please drink four to six cups of water. Follow your instructions sheet for the exact amount.
4. 喝完先别上厕所。现在憋得住吗？Hē wán xiān bié shàng cè suǒ. Xiàn zài biē de zhù ma?After drinking, don’t go to the restroom yet. Can you hold it for now?
5. 请换上检查服，我在外面等。Qǐng huàn shang jiǎn chá fú, wǒ zài wài miàn děng.Please change into the gown. I’ll wait outside.
6. 我用毛巾帮您盖一下。Wǒ yòng máo jīn bāng nín gài yí xià.I’ll cover you with a towel.
7. 我把帘子拉上。Wǒ bǎ lián zi lā shang.I’ll draw the curtain.
8. 我要开始检查了，可以吗？Wǒ yào kāi shǐ jiǎn chá le, kě yǐ ma?I’m going to start now. Is that all right?
9. 您希望有人陪您吗？Nín xī wàng yǒu rén péi nín ma?Would you like someone with you?
10. 您想停的话，随时告诉我。Nín xiǎng tíng de huà, suí shí gào su wǒ.If you want to stop, tell me at any time.
