By the end of this module you can…

1. 几个科的医生一起讨论了您的情况。Jǐ ge kē de yī shēng yì qǐ tǎo lùn le nín de qíng kuàng.Several specialties discussed your case.
2. 分期就是看肿瘤有多大、有没有扩散。Fēn qī jiù shì kàn zhǒng liú yǒu duō dà, yǒu méi yǒu kuò sàn.Stage: how big it is, whether it has spread.
3. 治疗的目标是根治，也就是争取治好。Zhì liáo de mù biāo shì gēn zhì, yě jiù shì zhēng qǔ zhì hǎo.The goal is cure: we aim to get rid of it.
4. 目标是控制病情，尽量让您活得更长、生活得更好。Mù biāo shì kòng zhì bìng qíng, jǐn liàng ràng nín huó de gèng cháng, shēng huó de gèng hǎo.Control: to help you live longer, and as well as possible.
5. 医生建议先做手术，然后化疗，最后放疗。Yī shēng jiàn yì xiān zuò shǒu shù, rán hòu huà liáo, zuì hòu fàng liáo.Surgery first, then chemo, radiation last.
6. 再找别的医生看看很正常。Zài zhǎo bié de yī shēng kàn kan hěn zhèng cháng.A second opinion is completely normal.
7. 治疗可能会影响生育。您以后还想要孩子吗？Zhì liáo kě néng huì yǐng xiǎng shēng yù. Nín yǐ hòu hái xiǎng yào hái zi ma?Treatment may affect fertility. Children later?
8. 签同意书的时候，我们会请一位专业的普通话医疗翻译。Qiān tóng yì shū de shí hou, wǒ men huì qǐng yí wèi zhuān yè de pǔ tōng huà yī liáo fān yì.For consent: a professional Mandarin interpreter.
9. 您可以慢慢考虑，签了字以后也可以改变主意。Nín kě yǐ màn màn kǎo lǜ, qiān le zì yǐ hòu yě kě yǐ gǎi biàn zhǔ yi.Take your time; you can change your mind later.
10. 您能用自己的话跟我说说，接下来先做什么吗？Nín néng yòng zì jǐ de huà gēn wǒ shuō shuo, jiē xià lai xiān zuò shén me ma?In your own words: what comes first?
